"A portrait of my youngest children, once a week, every week, in 2015."

Poet: this is her look of concern as she watches Che pull a crab out of a rockpool - ISO100, f2.5, 1/1600

Percy: little possum enjoys being carried...it wasn't long before he snuggled in and fell asleep - ISO100, f2.8, 1/200

Today we decided to go for a walk and about an hour later we finally made it out the front door. Honestly, I have no idea why it took so long. I think I was asking Poet to put her gumboots on for the fifth time when I considered calling the whole thing off. But, make it to the beach we did and by the time I was barefoot on the sand it was all worthwhile. Two hours later we walked back home with coffee and hot chips and settled in for an afternoon of reading, painting, playdough and not much sleeping (Percy!). Moral of the story - get out for a walk, even if you have to muster all your patience to leave the house.

  7. those little knit caps! <3 <3 And, yeah. That thing about it taking FOREVER to get ready to go out. I feel like after the baby turns one it gets a bit easier, right? But then again, maybe not. Now that I think about it, I had like serious panic attacks whenever i had to get ready to take my first kid out, even when she was like 2.
