in other places

Happy Friday, friends. This weekend is going to be extra sweet considering there's only one week left of the school term....five more school mornings and then two weeks of no bell. Hooray! I can't quite believe we're half-way through the year; time is such a hard concept to grasp.

Here's to a weekend of homemade coffee, woollen layers and movie nights.

In other places:

lucky this birth photographer had her camera ready to go...if she was three seconds late she would have missed it.
gasp! adore this sea salt bottle and these utensil holders
Jay's documentation of Autumn Farm is one of the most beautiful series of photos I've seen in a long time
I always recommend this bra (and this organic one), this tee and these jeans to my prenatal students
Judy Blume: parents worry too much about what children read (who read Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret?)
Maria's kitchen outtakes from Alphabet Journal; I love a peek inside kitchens, they say a lot about a person.
warm wool socks make all the difference at this time of year - love these and these
excited is an understatement. I hope Spielberg does Dahl justice.
fritters are on the menu this weekend.

  5. That birth story made me bawl! I love photos of mama's face when she gets to meet her baby -- and it's so beautiful that even in circumstances that most mothers would fear (no one plans to deliver in a car!) she still had radiance and joy and peace. How lovely!

  7. Hi Jodie! I really like the subtle changes you've made to your blog. It's a special place with compassion and wisdom but also reality...I love this section 'in other places'...it opens up the world that tiny bit more.

  8. Oh sweet you, thank you for your kind words and link. And oh yes I actively devoured all of Judy Blume's books along with Paula Danzinger's, they were precious in understanding all the emotional and physical changes I was going through around those tricky prepubescent times. xxx
