Yesterday, after our emotional morning, we headed to the beach with Uncle Josh and Imi for a coffee and some hot chips (celebrations were in order). We live so close to the very best kind of playground and Che jumped right in and sat down, not bothered by the fact that his undies were filling with sand. At one point we looked up to see a pod of dolphins swimming close to shore; the perfect omen. If it wasn't enough that our first born is heading off to school, our baby is walking and is requesting she wears beads. Enough of this growing up please!
Our baby has moved to a Big Girl Bed (in her sister's room) and I am facing the challenge of packing up the baby room, knowing that we can't have any more, knowing that these days will never be again. It's really hard.
It seems to happen in the blink of an eye doens't it?! But the beach (or the bush for that matter) is a perfect to raw nerves. Wishing you a peaceful weekend full of cups of tea, quiet times reading and a whole lot of sunshine. Steph :) x
Such beautiful photos, Che looks so happy! And I can't get over little Poet, such a little girl now. Love her beads, can I ask where they are from? Happy weekend, Rhi x
Can't wait for Jarvis and I to feel better so we can spend a day at the beach. Sandy undies and little foot prints in the sand. Days could not be better than that.
I just got a huge shock seeing poet walking! Eek! But it does happen, they grow too fast and become big kids before you know it. Each stage is great though! I'm loving having my kids a bit older, although sometimes I do miss the little cute stages. I'll have a teenager in 2 months!! How does that happen?!
Such beautiful photos. I'm looking forward to the day i can take my bubba to the beach but at 1 month old it might be too soon! I walked on the beach most days while i was pregnant with her, it was like my meditation so i hope she feels a connection with the soothing waves & the sand under her feet.
Ah Jodi looks fantastic ... I can remember seeing the dolphins over at Terrigal! What an amazing sight! Hope Jess gets to see them too she can't wait to catch up with you all on Tuesday! Love to you all xx
We headed to the beach last night for dinner and a splash in the water. A perfect ending to a busy week I think!
