I easily forget how nourishing the ocean is. Thursday just gone we were barefoot and dressed for summer so come late afternoon we headed to the beach for salt air and even saltier hot chips.
Regardless of dusk falling the children were happy and so we stayed a little longer to soak up the space and the quiet and the promise of warmer days to come. Stunning Mexican Oaxacan Florecer Blouse and Cotton Serape c/o the beautiful "little tienda". Thanks for satisfying my inner-bohemian Em! Cotton, stripes, floral and colour; just a few of my favourite things x
I have a very similar Mexican dress that I wore just about every day towards the end of my pregnancy...it was the only thing that fit! As I was wearing it constantly I got so sick of it, but these photos have inspired me to take it out of the back of the closet and give it another go!
The beach always makes me feel chilled and bohemian - something to do with the light and the sounds and the fact that there is space to stop and wonder. We live in a landlocked town, but one day we will live by the sea again...
These shots are splendid Jodi! You look like a hippy earth mumma in that photo and your embroidered top looks lovely, I have a slimmer-cut mexican top I found in an opshop when I was 16 and its a fave. Che looks set for summer on that striking stripped rug, love the pink/grey combo > x
Beautiful photos. Your blog makes me really looking forward to moving to Sydney soon. I just started following it recently, while doing my research for our big move and I really enjoy reading it. Since you don't have an about or FAQ page on your blog: Where do you guys live? (just interested where creative minds could live outside the cities and it looks lovely where you are) How far out of the city are you?
What a tranquil post - I could certainly use some ocean time. I love the anticipation of the changing seasons. I am feeling it now as summer fades to fall here up north.
Sounds so beautiful and there is something totally relaxing and calming about being next to an open water, isn't there? Have a great start to the week:)
Gorgeous!! We are about to head to the beach now for some salt time too! Not so warm here today though :) x
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the top, what is the sizing like?
ReplyDeleteI'm wearing a medium but as you can see it's really roomy. I would say the medium is size 10-12 x
DeleteWe had ourselves a little salty air yesterday, it was just what we all needed :)

ReplyDeleteLove this, your blanket and pretty blouse. Living near the Mexican border means sometimes surfing/shopping trips for tops, dresses and pottery!
