Our beautiful friend Sarah Humphreys sings the sweetest tunes. Her latest album is hello and Daniel filmed the music video for the first single Like a House Needs a Door.
I took on the role of Creative Director (not really) and was there for the two days of filming. Apparently standing behind a camera unleashes a significant amount of confidence; enough for me to ask the waiter at the cafe to "...be a bit sexier."
I hope you like this rather nostalgic film. It's so very Sarah - fun, whimsical and a little bit quirky.
hello is available to buy on itunes and in your favourite music stores - you and your kids will love it, promise.

Oh gorgeous ethereal Sarah! This song is just so beautiful. And Daniel....what a remarkable job! The light is pure magic and the film captures the essence of the song so brilliantly. Bravo a milion times over to both of them! And yay to the creative director...that water sure looked sexy to me ;)

ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful quality in Sarah's voice. Thank you for introducing me to her music and talent. Ditto for Daniel's talent. I always marvel at film and the work that goes into it, a bit like writing I suppose so many words or in film scenes to begin with edited down edited down into those neat few minutes. Really great work!

p.s daniel could not be sexier- it is physically impossible. Oh, i suppose he could be nude, but's thats another video all together (did i just say that?)
You really did just say that. But would you believe that he had his hair up in a bun and I asked him to let his hair out and kinda lean on the door frame "casually". And then when we got the shot I actually told him that he is perfect for Home & Away. I really did x
Deletein FINE form Jodi Wilson!! Perfectly fine form!
Deletei'm having a quiet giggle about that.
best visual ever. "casually".
Ahhhhahaha I still giggle about this. I actually just stood there giggling for most of that. Except when i had to do important things like 'walk from the left to right and hand hot barista a note' because that takes some concentration! x
