"A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2012."
Che: His behaviour was appalling...and then I realised that it was dusk and he hadn't eaten since lunch.
Poet: Like the cat got the cream, Poet got the sugar.
By far and most definitely my favourite portrait of Poet. Do you agree?

she looks so entirely different from any other of your portraits! i love that you captured a new (to us) expression. xx sarah
ReplyDeleteOh! what a cutie! That smile. She is just so beautiful. x
ReplyDeleteWhat a face! Love that cheekiness. x
ReplyDeleteI just love that picture of Che x
ReplyDeleteOne of the biggest surprises in this crazy motherhood journey has to be just how much food children need to eat. Astounding.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing isn't it. Che is a grazer and although we had a late lunch on the day this photo was taken it wasn't quite enough. We ended up having a big dinner....and a very early night! x
Deletevery cute! love the expressions on both of them...and your wall art behind your daughter is amazing! have a great rest of your weekend x
ReplyDeleteINCREDIBLE photo of Poet, Jodi...wow...
ReplyDeleteI love how the light shines down upon Che and that photo of Poet...breathtaking!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea Jodi! I have a friend who is doing a 365 challenge on Instagram and she's kept it up and is almost done. I love the picture of Poet but I think my favorite is the one of Che, I love the light and the expression on his face. I hope you're having a great Sunday!
ReplyDeleteI too love the photo of Che especially, Coop is very similar and becomes quite the cranky pants when hungry :)
ReplyDeletePoet looks so much like you here! Do you see it?
ReplyDeleteIt so strange because I really do see it, all the time. If you look at my baby photos it's like looking at the same child....but Poet's eyes are bigger! x
DeletePoet looks so adorably cheeky! I think she may end up keeping you on your toes.
ReplyDeleteOh don't you worry, it has begun. I said to Daniel the other day: "She is so cute...but such hard work!" She never stops x
Deleteadorable photos x
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful portraits! Poet looks so full of life...and mischief. And the little man...hunger certainly does crazy things to children (and adults too!). We've all been there though I'm sure. Nothing quite like a full belly to see your children return to themselves as opposed to something out of The Exorcist!Hope you're having a lovely Sunday :) x
ReplyDeleteJodi,
ReplyDeleteBOTH of these pictures are actually my absolute favourite portraits of BOTH of your children.
Wow.
Cherie x
Aww, Che looks quite forlorn in that first photo. Cohen's actions get more and more exaggerated the hungrier or tireder he gets. Including the sad faces. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd Poet, she is hands down adorable!
Jodi I totally agree ... this one and the one with the dirty tights !!!
ReplyDeletenaaaw they are so pretty!
ReplyDeletethey are both so beautiful.x
ReplyDeleteyep, agreed, I ADORE this photo of Poet. She looks suddenly older though? x

ReplyDeleteYep, she's trouble that one!
ReplyDeleteToo cute! X
Gosh, what a beauty - well done!
ReplyDeleteAw, those cute little faces! :)
ReplyDeleteyes! she is like a little person, not a baby anymore!
ReplyDeletemelynda xo
Love these photos! So beautiful!
ReplyDeleteand I like this idea too...wishing I had started this in January. I attempted the everyday photo, but that obviously was a little over ambitious.
ReplyDeleteBEST PHOTOS EVER. Was amazing to hang out with those two and you guys of course on this special day.
ReplyDeletePS - Jude just ate a vegemite sandwich, an apple cut up, two bananas and two muesli bars for lunch. Whoa!
x
Honestly some of the most amazing photos I've seen for a while, I love the character and realness of them, they look like something from a story or a film x
ReplyDeleteAmazing photos x
ReplyDeletejust lovely!
ReplyDeleteOh my! Your little Poet really makes me smile in that photo.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely my fave of Poet as well :) She is so cheeky x
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, that photo is a winner! Can she have any more spunk in that image?
ReplyDeleteAww..you have such a beautiful kids:) Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteI think that here Poet looks a bit like Daniel.. something to do with the smile. It's always interesting who looks like who at different stages - recently my grandad gave me a memoir he wrote of my grandma, who died in her late forties before I was born. He had recently updated it to include a whole lot of family photos of my dad's family and it was so interesting to see the similarities between his sisters and my sister and I and him as a teenager and my brothers (now teenagers). It was such a lovely gift.
ReplyDeleteI love this portrait of Poet, but I love the ones where she was still a bubba doing those lippy pouts with big eyes, too cute! I totally get the sugar thing, my Jasper always sneakily sneaks the sugar and throws it back before I have time to pick up on it! Che...I completely see that expression in Jasper...the 'i know Ive been bad mom, but im so sweet, right' ...is that his expression? x
ReplyDeleteohhh Poet´s face! you really catch her soul on this picture
