  2. I agree with Chrisy above how it's a wonderful project.......even though I take photos of my kids every week, these special portraits for the year are awesome....still got to put 2014 into a book. Kathy

  7. Percy has my special affection. I love Poet, too, but something about watching him unfold before my very eyes.

I like when you include the ISO, aperture, and shutter speed. I know it can be kind of annoying to include when you're in a hurry, but it helps me process what I'm doing with my own photography. I notice an ISO of 1000 in Poet's portrait and was wondering if you have trouble with noise. It's a constant struggle with noise for me in my portraits. I only have a Canon Rebel T3i with some modest lenses, but I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it!

  8. It's always strange to read your blog, read about how summer will come, when I'm here at the brinks of fall. Strange to see, that the seasons there are so different from the seasons here. It really makes my heart ache for australia even more. The winters seem like a dream come true, the summers, too. I wish I could somehow bear with heat better. Your style of writing is so gentle and amazing. I love reading your blog. It's like nice, warm cup of black tea with milk on a cozy afternoon. Cheers from Salzburg, Austria (www.kmgfoto.wordpress.com)
