"A portrait of my daughter, once a week, every week, in 2014."

Poet: looking so grown-up all of a sudden. Sigh, she's almost 3 (ISO 800, f2.8, 1/1000th)

Thank you for all your kind words about last week's portrait. I like it too - quite a lot.

...........................................................................................................

Mama + babe in the shower - a stunning b+w portrait / Oh! Siblings - sweet as sweet can be / simple pleasures - beach days and afternoon naps / adore this series of photos; beautiful, everyday moments / and finally, him and her, all rugged up and looking gorgeous.

  2. She looks so grown up! This period of 2 and a half to 3 seems to see them grow up so quickly!! It's almost enough to make me want to have another.... x

  4. It's the hair. When my daughter sports a little top bun, she looks like such a big girl. And thanks for including your photo specs! Is that the right term? I love to learn from others :) -Misty

  5. I love the top knot.
And while I am often struck by how big my boy is…I am just as often struck by how little he still is…especially when he climbs up onto my lap and is still able to snuggle down in beneath my chin.

  6. Wow, those lashes! Something about hairdos always bring out their age for me, whether it's a cut or a new style.

  14. something about a little ponytail or a bun - they get a few years older in a moment. my daughter's a little older than poet (but with shorter hair) and i am always surprised when you remind us how old she is. it's those hair dos!
