"A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013."
Che: The morning of the Easter parade in an absolutely fabulous hand-made hat.
Poet: The gaze that broke my heart. She has been feverish for the past four days, poor wee thing.
I was recently informed that Che & Fidel has been nominated for an Australian Writer's Centre blogging award. There's a "people choice" section and whilst I understand that the process can be a little annoying (and your time is precious) I would absolutely love your vote. You just need to go here, find Che & Fidel on the first page and click 'next' till you find 'done'. Thank you, so much.

ReplyDeleteI feel I've had that poorly gaze for the past 5 months... it is heartbreaking and also incredibly tiring. Wish little Poe well xx
ReplyDeletewhat a great contrast of mood and feeling between the two pictures. happy and bright against sad and gloomy. hope she feels better soon! xo

ReplyDeleteI love Che's Easter hat - the birthday cake candles on the top are just inspired!

We were only allowed to use materials that we had at home. Che went to a party last weekend and there was a pinata so I grabbed the leg of the pinata horse to use as the 'top hat'. Daniel cut a black piece of cardboard, Che went crazy with paint, glue and glitter, and then we raided the craft draw for candles and ribbons. Lots of fun (and it cost nothing!) x
